The Chaska House was built in 1900, reflecting the Revival Style and attitude that flourished in turn-of-the-century Waxahachie when “Cotton was King” and life was good. Texas Highways Magazine calls it “Victorian Splendor”. Opened as a bed & breakfast in 1993 by Louis and Linda Brown, the National Register-Listed home recently completed a meticulous year-long restoration, emerging as a fascinating combination of history, luxury, comfort and whimsical adventure—specifically designed with B&B guests in mind. The house and each of its uniquely-decorated common areas and extraordinary guest rooms (named and styled after authors) are a remarkable blend of original architecture, master craftsmanship (old and new) and imaginative interior design. RATES AND POLICIES
Weekday and weekend rates are based on double occupancy and include a full breakfast. Additional persons charged at $25. All rates subject to change prior to confirmed reservation. Two day minimum stay may apply during certain special events and holidays. Business and State of Texas rates (STMP #7480) available.

DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS:

  • A deposit equivalent to the rate for one night's stay or 50% of the reservation total invoice, whichever is larger, is required to confirm a reservation.
  • The deposit will be applied to the total invoice due upon arrival. Requirements may differ for certain holidays, special events or group reservations.
    The deposit is fully refundable if notice is communicated in person or by phone no less than 5 days prior the scheduled arrival date.
  • Late cancellations are subject to the full charges for the reserved night(s) unless the room(s) can be re-booked for the same period. If we are successful in rebooking the room(s), the deposit will be refunded in full, less a $20 processing fee.
  • Holiday, special events and group reservations require 10 days notice. This policy applies equally to gift certificates.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES:
Normal Check-in from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.; Check-out by 11:00 a.m. Arrivals and departures outside of normal hours should be communicated.
